Who is Jazmin?
Hello and welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here.
Hi, I’m Jazmin, an Accredited Social Worker, parent of two, Zumba enthusiast, and a big believer in boundaries, balance, and building a life that doesn’t burn you out.
I’ve spent over a decade working across government and non-government roles in mental health, disability, schools, child and family services, and leadership. But behind the qualifications and experience was someone juggling a lot, just like many helping professionals I know.
I completed my Master of Social Work while raising my children, the youngest was born during semester break. I returned to study with a newborn in my arms, parenting an older child, and working full-time. For years, I pushed myself to be the best practitioner, leader, and parent, always searching for more tools and strategies to prove I was good enough. I was resource-obsessed and constantly trying to keep up. Sound familiar?
But the truth was, I was exhausted. I was neglecting myself, bringing unfinished case notes and reports home, skipping meals, and missing out on moments with family and friends. Work-life balance felt impossible.
After a period of ongoing stress and health challenges in 2022, I had to stop and ask: What about me? How can I keep helping others sustainably without burning out?
That’s when I made a real shift. I started putting firm boundaries in place, saying no without guilt, carving out space for what truly energises me, like dancing at Zumba, preparing healthy meals I enjoy, and connecting with friends. I also reached out to other helping professionals for support, which made all the difference.
Beyond the Caseload grew from this journey, a practical, values-driven membership designed specifically for helping professionals who are juggling heavy workloads and emotional labour but want to prioritise their wellbeing and build genuine balance beyond the workday.
What to Expect when we Work Together
I’m here to support you, not lecture you. This is a space where you can be honest, reflect, and feel truly seen. We’ll talk about:
The boundaries you need to set at work (and why they sometimes feel impossible)
Why protecting time for yourself is a must, not a maybe
How to reconnect with who you are beyond your job title
How to move past the endless stress and create better balance between your personal life and professional role
Because if we want to keep doing this important work, we need to show up as our best selves. You deserve to feel fulfilled, not just at work, but in your life outside of work too.
My Core Values are…
These values guide everything I do. If they resonate with you, we’re probably a great fit to work together!
Empowerment
You don’t need to be “fixed.” You need space, clarity, and someone who genuinely believes in your ability to lead your own journey. It’s not about me telling you what to do, I’ve never been a fan of that either. Instead, I’m here to help you feel confident and supported to make the changes that truly work for you.
Authenticity
No polished, perfect versions here, just real talk. I believe in showing up as your true self, and I’ll meet you there.
Self-Compassion
You deserve the same care and kindness you give to others. It’s time to stop putting yourself last.
Boundaries are brave
Saying no isn’t rude, it’s respect for yourself and your wellbeing. And while burnout isn’t the goal, what really matters is finding balance that works for you.
